The Tennessee Titans have started the NFL season 0-2 and fans have not been thrilled by the way their team has performed, but what's the point of dwelling on it? Let's look at some of the positives through 2 weeks!
Elic Ayomanor was a steal
The Titans picked wide receiver Elic Ayomanor in the forth round of the NFL draft, and is quickly looking like the best draft pick outside of Cam Ward. To start, Ayomanor seems like he is going to be Ward's favorite target for a long time, as he has been targeted 13 times through only two weeks. While they have not all been completions, Ward is establishing trust with his receiver, giving him opportunities to go up and grab 1 on 1 balls, which Ayomanor did well this week, making an impressive 1-handed grab. Ayomanor got his first career touchdown this week on a crazy, cross-field pass from Ward. The pair have a bright future together.

Special teams is the best it's been in years
The Titans have struggled the last few years on special teams, but the arrival of Bones Fassel seems to be changing that. Joey Slye has been automatic on field goals, making a 57-yarder against the Rams, and the punting has been good, pinning the Rams inside the 10 twice. Above all else, the kick and punt returning has been incredible, with Chimere Dike getting impressive returns in each of the first two weeks, one of them being a touchdown that was called back with a terrible penalty call. To add on, Arden Key blocked an extra point, which is a level of pressure we haven't seen often for the Titans. Fassel is one of the best for a reason.
Cam Ward is going to be a great quarterback
Cam Ward is showing that he was the first overall pick for a reason. Through 2 games, he has not thrown an interception, which makes him the only #1 pick to do that. Some of the passes he has made were incredible, such as the aforementioned touchdown pass where he scrambled out to the right and threw it to the opposite corner of the end zone. Ward has made some rookie mistakes, mainly in his pocket presence taking some avoidable sacks, but he is showing he has what it takes to be a top quarterback in the NFL.
The Titans have forced 5 turnovers
The Titans have been great at getting turnovers so far this year, and whether or not it is pure luck, it is worth mentioning. They have been ball hawks, picking off three passes, recovered a muffed punt, and getting a strip sack. Turnovers are a big part of winning games, so if the team can continue to force turnovers, they will be in reach of many games.
The Chiefs are 0-2
We are just as good as a team that made the superbowl last year!
