Could the Titans release this veteran?

With the 41st pick in the 2018 NFL draft, The Tennessee Titans selected edge rusher Harold Landry from Boston College. Over the course of his career, Landry has recorder 50.5 sacks, which is 6th most in Titans/Oilers history and 3rd since the move to Tennessee. With only 2 sacks, he could pass the freak Jevon Kearse for the most since the move to Tennessee, who had 52 in his career.
In 2022, Landry signed a 5-year, 87.5 million dollar contract extension, with 52.5 mllion guaranteed, however, he would then tear his ACL, leading to him missing the entire 2022 season.
Now, with the newly hired general manager Mike Borgonzi, Landry's contract may be on the line. Borgonzi has around $44 million dollars in cap space, and Landry has the second highest cap hit on the team with $24.05 million dollars. If the Titans cut/trade Landry pre-june 1st, they would save $10.9 million, and if they cut/trade him post june 1st, they would save $17.5 million.
Although that is a LOT of money, Landry is still putting up good numbers at the age of 28 years old. He has put up 19.5 sacks in the two seasons since returning from his ACL injury, and added a game sealing safety against the Houston Texans this past season. Despite his good numbers, Landry has had moments of seemingly non-existance recently, being silenced in games and only really picking up clean-up sacks.
Landry has proved to become a great linebacker, but can't do it all himself. For Landry to become truly elite he needs a great pass rusher opposite of him (possibly in Abdul Carter???) to suffocate opposing offensive lines.
Landry's status on the team relies on general manager Mike Borgonzi's decision. Will he keep the pass rusher as a strong piece, or will he move on from him in order to save money and potentially pick up a few draft pics.
Personally, Harold Landry is my favorite Titan, so I would be deeply saddened by Landry no longer being a titan, but whatever is best for the team I can get behind.
