The Tennessee Titans are currently slotted to draft with the 4th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, and the team has big decisions to make.
It is no secret that the team has some big holes in their roster to fill, such as wide receiver and defensive end. It is also no secret that a star offensive weapon, even at a position with less of a need, can completely turn the tide of a franchise.
This is where running back Jeremiyah Love out of Notre Dame comes in. The Titans are not bad at the running back position with their tandem of Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears, but neither of those are a true game changer for the offense. Pollard is coming off of back to back thousand yard seasons with decent production, but his explosiveness and consistency hasn't been that of a true running back.

Taking the best player available is not a bad decision for a franchise. Take the drafting of Kyle Hamilton for the Baltimore Ravens - that was not a position of need but he fell to them, and they capitalized by grabbing the future All-Pro.
We have seen how good tailbacks can open up an offense: Jahmyr Gibbs, Bijan Robinson, and Saquan Barkley are all great examples. Their teams invested in them and it immediately boosted the production of their offense.
Jeremiyah Love is coming off of 1,372 yards in only 12 games in his final year of collegiate play, paired with 18 touchdowns. This earned him third place in the Heisman voting, numerous awards for being the top running back in the country, and unanimous All-American honors.
Rumors have circulated that the Titans believe Love is the best player in the draft, and he is currently in Tennessee on a top-30 visit as of the morning of March 5th. The two seem to be drawing closer to each other every day.
Love is faster, quicker, and more athletic than most at his position coming out of college, running an incredible 4.36 40-yard dash and showcasing his talent at the combine.
Cam Ward needs some help if he is going to develop into a great quarterback. A great running back can help take some of the pressure off of him and open up the passing game more than it was in his rookie season. Pair this with a new wide receiver and the offense can take a step up.
