The Titans Are Releasing Starting Center Lloyd Cushenberry

News has just broke that the Tennessee Titans are choosing to move on from starting center Lloyd Cushenberry after 2 seasons.

His tenure with the team has been injury filled, with a torn achilles in the 2024 season and a shoulder injury in the 2025 season.

His performance has been okay but nothing special. There is opportunity to get better at the position and with less of a price tag. This draft is deep on the offensive line, with many guards and centers available.

The release of Cushenberry saves $3.4 million and a dead cap hit of $9.05 million. He is also being released with a failed physical designation.

Cushenberry has a 55.2 PFF score, the 36th/40 at the position, with the 39th best at run blocking.

There is other talent for the team to acquire to fill this gap and this move does not come unexpectedly.
