Titans Final 53-man Roster Prediction

The NFL preseason has come to an end which means that it is time to cut these rosters down to a mere 53 players. Many players impressed in the preseason, and many did not, so it will be interesting to see who ends up on the roster. For this list, I will not be including any waiver wire pickups, which are likely going to happen because the Titans have number one priority.

Quarterbacks (2): Cam Ward, Brandon Allen
Cam Ward is clearly a lock, but the question remains in the backup spot. I think Brandon Allen and Trevor Siemian are very equal in terms of ability, but Allen was an offseason acquisition so it seems like he would get the spot over anyone else.
Running backs (4): Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears, Julius Chestnut, Kalel Mullings
Running backs seem pretty easy to predict. Chestnut impressed in the preseason and Mullings is a rookie who has been a wrecking ball in the preseason. The only way I see this changing is if Spears heads to the IR with his ankle injury, where they may claim an extra back or keep another.
Wide Receivers (7): Calvin Ridley, Elic Ayomanor, Tyler Lockett, Van Jefferson, Chimere Dike, Bryce Oliver, James Proche
The Titans will likely enter the season with a fairly crowded receiving room due to special teams. The team isn't comfortable with Dike being their main return man, which helps Proche, who has stood out in training camp, make the roster. Oliver has also been impressive and seems to have a good chance to make the roster. Restrepo will likely find his way back to the practice squad if he manages to clear waivers.
Tight Ends (3): Chig Okonkwo, Gunnar Helm, David Martin-Robinson
Tight ends are fairly obvious at this point. The team does not seem interested in keeping Josh Whyle and Odukoya is not as impressive as any of these others. I could see them claiming another on waivers if the team is interested.
Tackles (4): Dan Moore Jr, J.C. Latham, Olisaemeka Udoh, Jaelyn Duncan
The starting two are obvious, the real question is if the team keeps 3 or 4. I think the team hangs on to Duncan due to talent and experience, despite his low effort. Udoh has been a solid player so far, so I think he has locked a spot
Guards (4): Peter Skoronski, Kevin Zeitler, Jackson Slater, Blake Hance
Our backup guards are flexible in their positions, so I think we see some of them staying in case they need to slide to center or tackle. Slater was a mid-round pick and seems like a lock.
Center (2): Lloyd Cushenberry III, Corey Levin
Team needs two centers, Cushenberry is their starting option but may not be ready week one, and Levin is a solid backup if needed.
Defensive Line (5): Jeffery Simmons, Sebastion Joseph-Day, T'Vondre Sweat, Jihad Ward, James Lynch
Jihad Ward and James Lynch have both been fairly impressive through the preseason, and are slated to be good depth pieces for the team when they are needed. We could see another one staying if Sweat isn't ready week one, or if they need more depth.
Edge Rushers (5): Femi Oladejo, Arden Key, Dre'Mont Jones, Jaylen Harrell, Ali Gaye
I like the Titans keeping 5 here, even if one of them ends up being a healthy scratch going into games. Harrell and Gaye feel pretty even, so I would not be surpised if they keep both of them going into the season, but one could also be replaced pretty quicker with the waiver wire.
Inside Linebacker (4): Cody Barton, Cedric Gray, James Williams, Brian Asamoah
I'm not even going to attempt to predict who ends up as that 4th linebacker, because Asamoah will likely be replaced pretty quick. I'm more than confident with the first three, but I imagine they find someone on the waiver wire to take up that fourth slot, but if they don't I feel comfortable with Asamoah.
Cornerbacks (5): L'Jarius Sneed, Roger McCreary, Jarvis Brownlee Jr, Darrell Baker, Marcus Harris
I don't see Gabe Jeudy-Lally making the team, I just don't think he has impressed as much as Marcus Harris. I think corner is another position we could see the Titans being active on the waiver wire in, as their depth is not very impressive.
Safety (5): Amani Hooker, Quandre Diggs, Xavier Woods, Kevin Winston Jr, Kendell Brooks
The biggest question at safety right now is who is the fifth. Mike Brown has seemed to be getting less reps through the preseason, and Kendell Brooks has impressed, so I can see him making the team, but this is another spot we may see a waiver claim in.
Kicker: Joey Slye
Punter: Johnny Hekker
Long snapper: Morgan Cox
