The Tennessee Titans Release Linebacker Harold Landry

Well. It happened. The Tennessee Titans have released Harold Landry. The former second round draft pick was recently granted permission to seek a trade and after not being able to find a trade partner, the Titans ended his hefty contract.

This move saves the Titans almost $11 million dollars, with $13.1 million dead cap.

Landry was a staple for the Titans for many recent years, achieving 50.5 sacks over his 6 seasons playing with the team, coming really close to a franchise record. He hasn't had the same step since his torn ACL which forced him to miss the entire 2022 season.

This may open up the door for the Titans to draft Abdul Carter with the first overall pick, or trade back and still acquire him with pick 3. Carter was hosted by the Titans yesterday.

Titans fans will miss this legend, and hope the best for him moving forward. Forever a Titan Landry. I need a new jersey.
