Tennessee Titans to Let Punter Ryan Stonehouse Hit Open Market

Agent John Parla just told the Denver Gazette that the Tennessee Titans are letting star punter Ryan Stonehouse hit the open market, as opposed to tendering him with a lowest value of $3.263 million

This comes as a shock as Ryan Stonehouse has a booming leg and set a NFL record with average punt distance in his rookie year.

Stonehouse is not a directional punter, outkicks his coverage, and is decently slow in getting his kicks off. This was shown in a 2023 loss to the colts where he got multiple punts blocked that resulted in a severe knee injury to the punter.

Stonehouse should be able to get a good chunk more money in the open market then if he were tendered by the Titans.

I would love to keep Stonehouse, and tendering him seemed like a no brainer, but if Borgonzi has a plan, then in Mike we trust.
